The Montgomery's - Country Rock & Roll from Bristol UK. Their sound is a unique mix of three part vocal harmony, rowdy drumming and fuzzed out guitar solos, all at the heart of which lie catchy melodies; its roots rock and country twang but played with a swagger.
They played their first gig in autumn 2013 soon after forming and delivered a dynamic high energy performance which set the standard for all of their shows since.
Following a breakthrough summer in 2014 which saw the band play main stages at major festivals including Grillstock and Boomtown Fair, the four-piece were then signed to Greystone Records on which they released their debut album ‘Alligator Joyride’.
Recorded in under a week and mixed using vintage analogue equipment, ‘Alligator Joyride’ captures the intensity of the The Montgomerys’ live shows whilst bringing to life the character of each song. At the core of the album’s sound is their individual spin on country rock, and with appearances from guest musicians playing Hammond organ and slide guitar peppered throughout, ‘Alligator Joyride’ is just as diverse as it is raucous.
