You’d be hard pressed to find another young rock band on the UK circuit working as
impressively as The Molotovs. They exploded onto the London live scene mid-2020 and with over 200 gigs under their belts to date, they’re showing absolutely no signs of easing off.
This trio are fast gaining a reputation for their incendiary and highly energetic stage craft.
With short, sharp, punchy originals and a strong aesthetic; The Molotovs really are at the forefront of a new youth explosion.
Lead Guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Mathew Cartlidge (think effortless swagger), bass
guitarist/vocalist Issey Carts (think pure rock-chick) and drummer Ice Dob (rethink ‘hit like a girl’) are definitely on the rock radar, with support slots to date with Blondie, The Libertines, former Sex Pistols Paul Cook and Glen Matlock, Sham 69, The Subways and The Vapors - not to mention being spotted in a crowd of 90,000 and name checked by Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong.
With influences spanning The Who, Clash and Jam, right through to Oasis, The Libertines and Arctic Monkeys, The Molotovs are finding their sound resonates with a vast eclectic audience who appreciate the raw power, intensity and dynamism on offer.
